The hotel has also welcomed legendary showbiz names through its doors, including Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Anne Ziegler and Webster Booth. More recently ‘Long Lost Families’ host Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell filmed at the hotel, and Michael Portillo visited to feature the hotel in his BBC series ‘Great British Railway Journeys’
